Share ideas at a Caritas Brentwood networking day

Interested in the Catholic response to homelessness, welcoming refugees and migrants, assisting with the Cost of Living Crisis, or tackling the causes and effects of climate change?

You are warmly invited to the first Caritas Brentwood networking day, Saturday 10 June, 10am – 2.30pm, at Sacred Heart of Mary School, Upminster, RM14 2QP (on C2C & District lines, close to M25 & A127). Hear national speaker Raymond Friel OBE, Chief Executive of the Catholic Social Action network.

Director of Caritas Diocese of Brentwood Siân Thomas-Cullinan says: “We will be welcomed by Bishop Alan Williams, sm, followed by a keynote from Raymond Friel.

“Later in the day, we will ask participants to group into areas of interest/focus: these will be the cost of living crisis, the welcome of refugees and migrants, environmental work and those involved with homelessness. Conversations and input will be led by those who know these fields well, and the day will be an opportunity for those attending to network with others and share ideas and good practices, to enrich their own local realities.”

This day is a chance to be sustained, network with people from parishes across Essex and East London and hear about charities and resources available. Details and registration (free!) at www.caritasbrentwood.org/network
