The Newham Deanery is running an eight-week online Bible Study course, starting on Sunday 23 April. Entitled Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible, it gives an overview of the whole of Salvation History, beginning with Genesis and ending with Revelation. All are welcome to attend.
Fr John Moloney, parish priest at St Antony of Padua, Forest Gate, is organising the course. He says: “If you have a desire to read the Bible but just don’t know where to start, this course is for you. Many Catholics want to read the Bible because they know it is God’s Word, but they give up because it seems so complicated. Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible helps you get the ‘big picture’ by showing how 14 narrative books of the Bible tell the complete story from Adam and Eve to Christ and the Church.”
Each hour-long session will begin with a 30-minute video led by well-known Catholic Scripture teacher Jeff Cavins. Then Fr John and others will break down the session and develop certain aspects.
