This is a short session focusing on different ways to deliver the requirements of Collective Worship more creatively in the classroom.
In the session, we consider the legal requirements, the importance of Collective Worship in a Catholic school and how it is distinct from ‘an assembly.’ It also covers ways to include children in the planning and delivery of Collective Worship and looks in detail at different approaches including spiritual journeying, meditation, Lectio Divina and the use of religious art. The training is concluded by considering resources specifically for Lent. Presenters: Catherine Harwood, Primary Link Adviser and Maria Shepherd, Deputy Director, Diocese of Brentwood. This course is open to all Primary Practitioners. To book your place please complete this form.
