For Assistant Headteacher to have a greater understanding of the role of Deputy Headteachers and Headteachers in fulfilling the schools’ role in its Catholic mission.
The Subjects to be covered may include:
Testimony from existing Catholic senior leaders. Workshops on Leading with vision and then either Talent management (nurturing the next generation of Catholic leaders) or Leadership communication. Short sessions on the pros and cons of being an internal or external hire, and how to craft a compelling personal statement for an application; emotionally intelligent leadership; managing difficult conversations as a Catholic leader; pastoral leadership in a Catholic school; Catholic life and the personal development curriculum and preparing for Ofsted inspections in a Catholic context.
Three sessions will run from October 2024 to March 2025; each session taking place once per term from 12:00 – 17:00 at Holy Family School and Sixth Form, Walthamstow.
The scheduled dates are as follows:
- Session 1 – 15th October 2024
- Session 2 – 15th January 2025
- Session 3 – 27th March 2025
