This course has been designed to enable Diocesan Headteachers to develop their understanding of the role of the Catholic school within the mission of the Church, to gain insight into the complexities of headship in a Catholic institution and understand how the Diocese supports them in their work.
Five sessions will run from September 2022 to June 2023; each session taking place per half term on a Thursday from 15:15 – 17:00 in the Conference Hall at Cathedral House, Brentwood.
The remaining scheduled dates are as follows:

- 29th June 2023

Session 2 – Working Effectively with the Governing Body
- Governance-how to work effectively with Governing Bodies; building positive, working relationships between Headteacher and Chair; roles and responsibilities of Governors; accountabilities; how to work together to secure your own ‘well being’.
