Deanery Music Days
A Deanery Music Day is a workshop day looking at parish liturgical music and music ministry with plenty of advice and help for singers, cantors and instrumentalists. Below are the upcoming dates and watch this page for information on further days and training:

Regular training events and courses are organised by the Royal School of Church Music local area – Essex & East London (RSCM/EEL) providing excellent opportunities ecumenically for church musicians, choirs, singers, organists and instrumentalists. Leaders of Prayer through Song: Day Conference for Cantors
Open to you if you lead congregational singing in Christian worship, whether out of necessity, as a willing volunteer, or as a skilled and experienced solo singer. This Churchmusicfuture Conference will equip you to better serve your church by providing:
- songs, psalms, and liturgical music in different styles
- good vocal technique
- spiritual development
- an understanding of your ministry
- solutions for common problems with congregational singing
- confidence building
- opportunity to meet other song-leaders
Saturday 8th October 2016, 10am – 3.30pm, Milleret House, London, W8 5HH
The day will be led by Frances Novillo, an experienced cantor who has led congregational singing in countless churches and schools, also in cathedrals, Wembley Arena, Greenbelt, at large-scale Taizé worship, and at the Papal Mass in Crofton Park. She delivers training, support and encouragement to church musicians across the country, through organisations including the Society of Saint Gregory, Royal School of Church Music, Musicademy, National Network of Pastoral Musicians, at the London School of Theology and Mount Street Jesuit Centre. We will meet in the beautiful surroundings of Milleret House, conveniently located in central London (nearest tube: High Street, Kensington). If you are travelling some distance and would like to make a weekend of it, comfortable accommodation is available to book at Milleret House.
