The Benedict XVI Centre at St Mary’s University, Twickenham is holding a series of events exploring the common good, in collaboration with Together for the Common Good, Caritas Social Action Network and the Centre for Social Justice. They will be on zoom and then end with an in-person event at St Mary’s, Putney. The events are being supported by the CCLA.
The first event will be on the subject of “The Common Good: What does it mean?” Philip Booth (St Mary’s), Sam Bruce (Centre for Social Justice) and Jenny Sinclair (Together for the Common Good) will be in conversation with the university’s Professor Ruth Kelly. Future events will cover the common good and the family; the common good and civil society and the common good and the role of the state. Speakers will include Lord Maurice Glasman, Ruth Gledhill, David Goodhart, Edward Hadas, Richard Harries, Lord Syed Kamall, Danny Kruger MP, Mercy Muroki, Cristina Odone, Trevor Phillips, Caroline Slocock and Julia Unwin.
