Twenty-three young people from the Assumption of Our Lady, Maldon and St Cuthbert’s, Burnham were confirmed at an evening Mass recently by Bishop Alan Williams. Parish priest Fr. Mark Reilly and Fr. Martin Siemek were also present.
Bishop Alan anoints a confirmation candidate
In his homily, Bishop Alan talked to the young people about Pentecost and asked God to bless them with the gifts he had planned for them.
Said proud parent Simon Burwood: “It was a lovely service and the Bishop made the children feel very special. Thanks to everyone in the the parish, Fr. Mark and all the catechists for their work with our children.”
