Disability charity appeals for Christmas gift funds – and trustees

The Catholic Fellowship Disability Network (CFDN) is calling on the local community in Essex & East London – to help make this Christmas a special time for its members living with disabilities and their families. The charity has launched its annual Christmas Gift Fundraising Campaign, aiming to raise £815 to provide festive gifts for 163 individuals living with disabilities of all ages.

For many of CFDN’s members, including those in residential care and older adults, the holidays can be a challenging time. This initiative ensures every member receives a thoughtful gift, often shared at CFDN’s Christmas events or delivered by volunteers spreading joy and connection during the festive season.

“Our Christmas Gift Fundraiser is one of the most heart-warming parts of our year and is actively supported by our longstanding volunteers,” said Daniel Ruscoe, CEO of CFDN. “It’s a way to remind our members that they are valued and part of a supportive community, even during difficult times.”

Donors can contribute directly to the campaign through CFDN’s website at www.cfdn.org.uk. The charity is also encouraging supporters to amplify the campaign’s reach by sharing it via social media, accessible through CFDN’s Facebook page.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps CFDN meet its commitment to ensuring all members feel the warmth, support, and generosity of the holiday season.

How to help:

“With your support, we can make a real difference to our members this Christmas,” Ruscoe added.
