Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham – 25 May 2024: Join Bishop Alan and members of other parishes around the Diocese of Brentwood in Walsingham. Fr Daniel Kelly, who organises the event, has written to parishes to invite them to take part. He says: “We will celebrate Mass at the Basilica before walking the Holy Mile to the grounds of Walsingham Abbey to celebrate Vespers and Benediction on the site of the Holy House. If you would like to come please contact your parish representative who will organise coach travel with other parishes. ”
He adds: “The pilgrimage is a prayerful, family-friendly event which brings us together as a diocese to honour Our Lady of Walsingham, as so many pilgrims have done in the past. Every year we break Shrine records, and we did so again last year by gathering more than 1,000 pilgrims, the largest Diocesan Pilgrimage since 2017 when we celebrated the Diocesan Centenary. I look forward to seeing you in Walsingham on 25 May.”
