In their statement, leaders from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh and Hindu communities in Wales say “true compassion does not mean ending a life. It means accompanying those who suffer, easing their pain, supporting families, and ensuring that no one feels abandoned, a burden, or without worth.” They call for the promotion of excellent palliative care and urge people in Wales to encourage their local MS to withhold consent for this Bill when it comes before the Senedd.

Mgr David Manson, parish priest of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Braintree and a man of great empathy and humanity, will be much missed by his parishioners, family and friends.

recently carried out a unique biodiversity survey to explore the wildlife living on the friary lawn
area within the school grounds.
A well-known speaker on liturgical matters, Mgr David was latterly parish priest at Braintree. His Requiem will take place on Wednesday 28 January at 11am in Brentwood Cathedral, where he was Administrator in the 1990s.
